214 affordable housing units were brought to SW Portland with the completion of Tiller Terrace Apartments. Built by R&H, in partnership with @seraarchitects and @tellointeriors, this six-story affordable housing development offers a combination of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The mixed-use building also houses retail space, a community room, an outdoor terrace and a computer room—designed to foster community connection and support. Located just around the corner from Providence Park, Tiller Terrace residents will be at the heart of the city with easy access to public transportation.
As affordable housing remains a top priority for the City of Portland, R&H is proud to have partnered with BC Group and Guardian Real Estate Services to bring this thoughtfully designed, community-focused space to life.

This holiday season, the R&H elves traded blueprints for frosting bags in our annual Gingerbread House Competition! Crafted from CLG (cross-laminated gingerbread) and adorned with edible finishes like gumdrops, candy canes and more, these 1 sq. ft. marvels prove our team’s creativity knows no bounds. Even a gumdrop delay couldn’t stop us—with a candy cane permit from the city, we built these two-story multifamily homes with craftsmanship and holiday cheer.

Cheers to Domaine Drouhin Oregon, who celebrated an exciting milestone with the first fall harvest in their brand-new, 27,000 s.f. wine production facility in Dayton. Designed by Kaleido Studio, Roserock North features wine fermentation spaces, a temperature-controlled barrel cellar, industrial fruit storage and a spacious covered harvest porch. The Washington County Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT) site in Beaverton is well underway. The project includes a renovation of an existing 24,000 s.f. structure as well as the ground-up construction of a 14,000 s.f. building connected via a ground-level breezeway and outdoor courtyard.
The renovated facility will house withdrawal management services and sobering services while the new building houses two residential treatment programs with group therapy rooms and a fitness center. Both buildings share a key feature for wellbeing: access to nature with two courtyards providing biophilic spaces for program participants. We can’t wait to share more updates on this important facility as it comes to life over the next year!

This software company, known for its work in video game publishing and app development, has a new office that reflects its fun and unique personality. Located in downtown Portland’s 11W Building, the office evokes feelings of future nostalgia with the use of mirrored ceilings, space-inspired details and a suspended acoustic ceiling feature. Carpeted stadium seating, a mix of phone and conference rooms, and a playful fast food-inspired kitchen provide employees with a variety of spaces to work and play. In recent years, R&H has focused on building a program around the three "C`s" of construction safety: enhancing Culture, ensuring Compliance and establishing a level of Consistency. Through a companywide emphasis on empowering others to speak up and take personal accountability in regards to safety, R&H has a stronger safety culture that has lead to safer projects, benefiting all stakeholders in the process.
