This morning marked the beginning of construction for Barbara Walker Crossing, the highly-anticipated bridge that will connect the Wildwood Trail across Burnside street.

Last week, the R&H team joined Portland Parks Foundation, Portland Parks & Recreation, Metro and friends from many city agencies and project partners for the Barbara Walker Crossing groundbreaking celebration. It was so great to hear each speaker talk about the positive impacts this bridge will have on our community, ranging from ease of use for Portland’s amazing hiking trails to increased safety for both pedestrians and drivers.
