This weekend R&H team members and their families gathered at Alderbrook Park for our annual company picnic. We played a lively game of Bingo and enjoyed lunch before team members were free to exploring the park grounds with so much to offer - from pedal boats, lawn games, bounce houses and a slip n` slide. Bright waves of fuchsia fabric provided an eye-catching pop in our tool shop this week as we prepare for the 2024 Alt Wine Fest ✨this Sunday✨ in Carlton. Volunteers from R&H and Scott Edwards Architecture have spent this week preparing a wine- and music-inspired installation for the event, which celebrates Oregon’s eclectic wine varietals. Last week, we celebrated Asian American & Pacific Islander heritage month with a delicious exploration of Burmese, Indian, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine. Our DEI committee curated a diverse selection from local neighborhood restaurants for our team to try and hopefully come away with a new local favorite restaurant to support. After a delicious lunch, we engaged in lively trivia to expand our cultural and geographical knowledge of the four countries the food originated from, and the history of those populations in Oregon. By the end, our minds and our bellies were full!

Congratulations to Senior Project Manager Ted Rhodes and General Field Superintendent John Barry – the iconic duo who left the court as champions! 🏆

No better way to spend a sunny day than connecting with your community! Yesterday, R&H team members joined neighboring businesses for a SOLVE neighborhood clean-up in NW Portland. In a short amount of time, teams picked up an impressive amount of trash and debris. We closed the event with a BBQ and beverages enjoyed in perfect weather. Thank you to SOLVE and all our neighbors who helped make it happen. @solveinoregon @builtbypandc and Bender CCP

Volunteering with Sunshine Division is a perennial favorite at R&H! This past month, two groups of R&H team members and industry friends rolled up their sleeves and packaged an impressive amount of food in a short amount of time. What can be accomplished in two, two-hour shifts? The stats say it all: 26 total volunteers, 634 boxes built, 11,726 pounds of food packaged and one epic karaoke performance of Sweet Caroline (with custom @sunshinedivision lyrics woven in)🎵🎤
