REACH is a nonprofit dedicated to creating quality, affordable housing and expanding opportunities for families and individuals across the Portland metro area.
We were proud to contribute our time, talent and materials for this project. A special shoutout to R&H craftsworkers Juan Wyman and Jimmy McCowan, who completed most of the build in just one day! Take a look at the transformation above.

Bright waves of fuchsia fabric provided an eye-catching pop in our tool shop this week as we prepare for the 2024 Alt Wine Fest ✨this Sunday✨ in Carlton. Volunteers from R&H and Scott Edwards Architecture have spent this week preparing a wine- and music-inspired installation for the event, which celebrates Oregon’s eclectic wine varietals. R&H team members and families gathered in the chilly weather for an evening of hot cocoa, farm animal visits and holiday cheer as we toasted to the end of another great year together. Happy holidays from all of us at R&H!

Happy Juneteenth! In celebration of the holiday, R&H`s DEI committee planned a special lunch at our headquarters office featuring several traditional Juneteenth foods, beverages and desserts. As we enjoyed the delicious food, we listened to a presentation on the history of Juneteenth, the color symbolism of the Juneteenth flags, how it’s celebrated and more. Profiles of iconic Black trailblazers in history were placed at each table, along with a curated list of local events and digital resources for our team to learn about and celebrate Juneteenth.

The artists were walked through painting their own versions of a snowy mountain scene, wowing us with their talents! Congratulations to Foreman Noel and Senior Project Engineer Mitchell, who took 1st and 2nd place after a team vote. As Bob Ross said, “There are no mistakes, just happy accidents."
