Deschutes Brewery

Portland, Oregon

R&H transformed a former auto body shop into a restaurant on the corner of NW Couch and 11th. The project involved an extensive renovation of the Gerber Building, previously home to Jim Steven’s Auto Body. To maintain the integrity of the building listed on the National Historic Register, crews refurbished a majority of the original brick, trusses, and window frames. Additionally, the pub procured old timbers from the former Meier & Frank warehouse that were remilled to construct all of the restaurant’s hostess stands, bars, and unique dining cubes.
