This spring, R&H is joining Unitus Community Credit Union in celebrating the grand opening of two new Unitus branches in the Portland Metro Area. R&H’s Financial Institutions Group completed the buildout of Unitus’ 3,100 s.f. Cascade Station branch in Portland as well as a building renovation for their new 3,300 s.f. Cedar Hills location in Beaverton. Both branches are home to virtual teller machines, a teller line, reception area with a living wall, private offices and conference space as well as colorful accents that tie into Unitus’ bright and cheery branding. The renovation and build-out of Shake Shack’s West End location transformed a quiet corner of downtown Portland into a busy restaurant that helps activate and revitalize one of Portland’s busiest intersections. As we celebrate the one year anniversary of Shake Shack’s grand opening, we’re looking back at one of the projects that helped transform Portland in 2023. Local nonprofit Wild Salmon Center will soon have a new headquarters in NW Portland! R&H is underway on a 10,000 s.f. tenant improvement that will provide a larger and more functional workspace for the WSC team so they can focus on their important mission of preserving wild salmon populations in the Pacific Northwest.
Located in the Fitzgibbon Glass building, R&H’s scope includes replacing the exterior stair tower, framing new offices and installing new flooring and finishes throughout. Wild Salmon Center’s new headquarters will allow greater flexibility for internal expansion and for hosting social events and workshops that will continue to bring awareness to their impactful conservation work. As we near the completion of Freewell in NW Portland, here’s a sneak peek of the final finishes seen throughout common areas that include a maker’s lab, club lounge and lobby. Freewell offers 192 apartment units in addition to ground-floor commercial space, bike storage and underground parking. A second-story pedestrian bridge connects the seven-story mixed-use building to a two-story pavilion that holds the resident amenities seen below. @prometheus_apartments @seraarchitects

Also known as PiPH!, Paper Epiphanies is a local, woman-owned greeting card maker, which will be the first independent greeting card publisher to ever open a store in a major US airport. R&H crews are currently framing, installing drywall and preparing for flooring install. When complete, the store will have a custom floor tile pattern, along with lots of brightly colored casework that will showcase the many cards, pens, paper and writing supplies that PiPH! is known for. The Lake House, which is home to a restaurant and resort amenities, will be refreshed and expanded to create a more contemporary lodge dining experience. The project includes a kitchen expansion, new indoor/outdoor bars and private dining areas, and an expansion of the outdoor patio. Check out some progress photos on site below!

Volunteering with Sunshine Division is a perennial favorite at R&H! This past month, two groups of R&H team members and industry friends rolled up their sleeves and packaged an impressive amount of food in a short amount of time. What can be accomplished in two, two-hour shifts? The stats say it all: 26 total volunteers, 634 boxes built, 11,726 pounds of food packaged and one epic karaoke performance of Sweet Caroline (with custom @sunshinedivision lyrics woven in)🎵🎤
