Stoller Family Estates Celebrates Tasting Room Grand Opening
Stoller Family Estate celebrated its new state-of-the art tasting room with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, September 9th.
Founder, Bill Stoller, is an ardent preservationist and Oregon pioneer. Over the last 20 years, he has transformed his family's farm into a model of sustainability. The new tasting room continues this tradition by integrating environmental conservation and sustainability with high efficiency design.
The tasting room orients toward the focal point at Stoller - the vineyard. It includes two glass curtain walls opening onto a patio with an unobstructed view of the vineyard's oldest plantings.
Like the vineyard, the building derives 100 percent of its energy from the sun. Other sustainable features include:
- A 236-panel solar installation made in America
- A green roof to be planted with grasses in September
- Salvaged timbers
- Low or zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in paints, coatings and carpets
- Plans for an electric vehicle charging station
